The Discussions and Briefs contains many information that will influence the outcome of the final design. By creating mental images of the project needs, we can better understand the brief and create to fit the requirements.

Consider some tips that can help you visualize Client’s Discussion and Brief.

Think aloud.

Thinking about the project aloud can help you imagine the scenes more clearly. When discussing the project as a team, you can make the brief come alive by assigning objects to different spatial requirement.

Picture the scenes.

Try to capture the thoughts and the feelings of the client and targeted users of project, including art work. For instance, ask yourself: ‘Why did the client described the project as he did? What would I have been thinking or feeling if I had been in the client’s situation?’

Draw or sketch.

Sketching the Client’s scenes can help you visualize and remember the narratives better, even if your finished product is not a work of art.
